SANITARY SEWER PROJECT MANAGER

York, PA

C.S. DAVIDSON, INC., a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm with three offices in south central PA is seeking a qualified Sanitary Sewer Project Manager to work at the firm’s office in downtown York, PA. This is a unique opportunity to partner with both design and construction phase professionals in a company that has been selected as one of the Best Places to Work in PA for six consecutive years.  Professional licensure is required for this position as well as solid project management skills. Ability to work independently and confidently with technical and support staff at branch offices is a plus.

Responsibilities and required competencies include the following:

• Project management will require applicant to monitor all aspects of budget, scope, and schedule of work in progress, as well as, coordination of multiple clients and consultants. Ability to design collection, conveyance, and treatment systems and have a thorough understanding of waste water processes.
• Competent with water treatment and distribution design.
• Understanding of the ordinances and permitting requirements related to waste water engineering.
• Understanding of contract documents and shop drawings and ability to resolve field construction problems.
• Strong oral and written communication skills to be able to properly represent municipal clients in public meetings.
• Assistance with proposal preparation in response to such requests. Ability to work cooperatively with technical and support staff across disciplines.

PLANNER/GIS ANALYST

York, PA

C.S. DAVIDSON, INC. is seeking to expand its services by the addition of a Planner/GIS Analyst to work in all phases of municipal planning.

Reponsiblities will include the following:

• Development and modification of comprehensive plans, subdivision and land development ordinances, and zoning ordinances.
• Review of subdivision and land development plans for conformance with local plans and ordinances.
• Creation and maintenance of GIS and cartographic capabilities.
• Creation and maintenance of geospatial data sets using ArcGIS 9.1.
• Conduct spatial and network analysis of geographic data sets.
• Integration of CAD and GPS data with ArcGIS.

Qualifications requires will include the following:

• Degree in planning, geograohy, or related field required. or related field with an emphasis in GIS (or GIS certificate).
• Ability to demonstrate successful experience with establishing and delivering upon client expectations.  
• A minimum of three years of professional experience beyond college.  
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Overall knowledge of GIS technology, application, and GIS data integration.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cartography and computer mapping including design principals and understanding of map creation principles.

SENIOR LEVEL PLANNER

York, PA

C.S.Davidson is seeking to expand its services by the addition of a Senior Planner to work in all phases of municipal planning.

Reponsiblities will include the following:

• Degree in urban, regional, or city planning, geograohy, or related field required.
• AICP certification preferred.
• Ability to work well with the public.  
• A minimum of five years experience as a municipal planner in Pennsylvania.  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with GIS.
• Extensive working knowledge of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC).

PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER FOR THE STRUCTURAL/BUILDING DEPARTMENT

York/Lancaster, PA

We are currently seeking a senior level Structural Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. We’re seeking a proven professional with the following skills:

• Strong design and project management skills
• Knowledge of design/build concepts
• Previous personnel management experience and the ability to mentor and direct entry level Engineers-In-Training through all phases of a project
• Proven ability to develop client relationships and loyalty
• Ability to use interpersonal skills to develop client and colleague relationships

We require the following education and experience:

• Minimum of B.S. in engineering or engineering technology
• P.E. status in the State of Pennsylvania or ability to obtain this status
• Minimum of eight years of progressive and broad experience int he general structural consulting field with particular emphasis on steel design.

PENNDOT-QUALIFIED CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR

York, PA

C.S. Davidson, Inc. is seeking an experienced PENNDOT Qualified Construction Inspector to serve as liaison between the contractor and project manager for the project client. The Inspector will perform on-site observations of the progress of the construction schedule and insure adherence with Contract Documents. The Inspector will act as the Engineer’s agent in all matters pertaining to the on-site work of the contractor. The following are required for consideration for this position:

• Knowledge and experience working with PENNDOT regulations and a thorough understanding of the processes to be followed.
• Good written documentation skills in order to compile and submit reports to Department Manager.
• Ability to conduct on-site observations of work being done and timely reporting of unsatisfactory work to Project Manager.
• Performance of intermediate-level engineering technician work with little or no daily supervision on job site.
• NICET and NECEPT Certifications required, unless already an approved PENNDOT Inspector.

This position is hourly and classified as non-exempt from overtime.
