Project Description: C.S. Davidson, Inc., designed the abutments and the precast beams for this project. The firm was also responsible for obtaining structural adequacy approval from PA DOT. Construction drawings were provided for the Borough and technical assistance was given during the construction phase. The precast beams were fabricated by a precast concrete supplier. The contractor removed the stone masonry walls and placed the new concrete footings and abutments. The new deck consisted of precast concrete slab sections with a bituminous wearing surface. Gettysburg Borough Highway employees performed the construction work on this bridge. |
