Project Description: In an effort to provide a safe pedestrian walkway along SR 0181, the Borough of Manchester secured federal funding in order to provide much needed sidewalks along both sides of North Main Street between Manchester and Parkview Street. Due to the close proximity of Main Street to the Northeastern Senior High and Middle Schools the pedestrian traffic is extremely heavy in this area. Improvements included curbing, sidewalks, and drainage systems. In addition, sections of the state highway were reconstructed with a more durable pavement to accommodate the dense traffic (especially trucks) of Main Street. |
