Project Description: This project involved the separation of existing combined sewers into sanitary sewers and storm sewers. During periods of high flow, the existing combined sewers could not adequately discharge the flow and, as a result, raw sewage
backflowed into several buildings. |
An entirely new and separate sanitary and storm sewer system was designed for the college. The new system safely discharges flows to existing systems that are operated by the City of Lancaster. With proper maintenance, the improved system should operate effectively for
at least twenty-five years. |
