C.S. Davidson Announces Leadership Changes
The Board of Directors at C.S. Davidson, Inc., an employee-owned consulting engineering firm with offices in central Pennsylvania, has announced that Kerryn E. Fulton, P.E. will serve as the company’s next President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective July 1, 2016. As President and CEO of C.S. Davidson, Fulton will continue to build upon firm’s long-standing commitment to civil engineering excellence. She will be the sixth president and CEO in the firm’s history, which was originally founded in 1923 by Carl Schaeffer Davidson.
Fulton received her Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996 and later joined C.S. Davidson in 2001 as an engineer in the structural department. She is a 1992 graduate of Juniata High School and the daughter of Alice and Greg Gray of Port Royal.
Fulton said “I am humbled and honored to serve as the leader of a firm with such an impeccable reputation and a long, rich history of serving clients and our communities in south central Pennsylvania.”
John A. Klinedinst, P.E., has served as C.S. Davidson’s President and CEO since 2008 and will stay in a leadership role as Chief Administrative Officer. In addition to his Senior Client Representative work with municipal and private clients, he will be responsible for oversight of general administrative functions including office management, document management, marketing, and property/facilities maintenance. Klinedinst will continue to take part in community outreach activities including associations such as Rotary and Sertoma.
“It has been an honor to serve as President and CEO of C.S. Davidson since 2008,” said Klinedinst. “I am very proud that as a team, we made tremendous positive improvements during very difficult economic times. At the age of 65, and after 43 years of continuous employment here, I believe the timing is right for new executive leadership and fresh ideas, although I will continue to work because I like what I do. My job now is to support Kerryn in the next stage of evolution at C.S. Davidson.”
David M. Davidson Jr., P.E. will remain as C.S. Davidson’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Davidson had served as the President and CEO from 1983 until 2008, transitioning to CFO when Klinedinst assumed the firm’s leadership role. Davidson represents three generations of family ownership.
"As the youngest CEO in our 93-year history - and the first woman to serve in that capacity - Kerryn's appointment begins a new era at C.S. Davidson.” Davidson concluded, “I think the company will flourish under her leadership."
